The Galway Kitchen was founded out of the need for an authentic houmous, that could be made sustainably right here in Ireland. Since our launch, we’ve expanded our horizons and created even more globally-inspired delicious dips to transport your tastebuds from Morocco to Milan & yet are made right here in the heart of Galway.
Classics
Our original range. Timeless classics done right. Featuring the original Classic Houmous, and its Organic and Reduced Fat versions. Since our launch, the feedback has been nothing but posotive with customers commenting that we “converted them to store-bought houmous”, & “they’ll never eat any other houmous again.”
Classic Houmous
A classically made houmous, with subtle lemon flavours pair beautifully with the earthy blended chickpeas and tahini. Made in Galway and specially developed by our talented team, it’s so light and creamy it’s great for dips and crudités!
Reduced Fat Houmous
All of the delights of our Classic Houmous with 30% less fat, meaning you can indulge a little more, and make the most of enjoying the crushed chickpeas and tasty sesame tahini. Expertly blended in Galway by The Galway Kitchen Team.
Organic Houmous
We took our Classic Houmous recipe and developed it using all organic ingredients. Each velvety smooth mouthful is crammed with tasty goodness. Try avocado or peppers filled with Organic Houmous!
Inspired
Our global flavours are inspired by much-loved tastes from around the world. Newly launched, the first additions include a Thai-inspired Sweet Chilli Houmous, and a fragrant Moroccan-inspired Houmous, made as always, in our Galway kitchen.
Moroccan Style Houmous
A fragrant addition to our line up, this Moroccan-inspired houmous is blended with cumin, coriander & turmeric. We’ve been adding this to homemade shawarma, and we’re obsessed.
Sweet Chilli Houmous
A Thai-inspired twist of our much loved classic houmous, with earthy blended chickpeas and tahini, paired with red chilli. We love this with rice crackers, or to add some zing to a salad!
Pesto
Introducing our new range of irresistible pesto. Recreating the iconic flavours first created in Genoa, these authentic pestos are made as always, right here in our kitchen at the heart of Galway.
Green Basil Pesto
Our exceptional Green Basil Pesto is made with the finest ingredients. It’s full of aromatic basil, perfectly balanced with the rich and nutty notes of Grana Padano, with Irish cheddar adding delicious creaminess. Versatile and tasty, it’s the perfect companion for pasta dishes, sandwiches, pizzas, as a dip and so much more.
Classic Red Pesto
Flavour-packed & tangy our Classic Red Pesto is crafted with vibrant red peppers, sundried tomatoes, Italian Grana Padano cheese & sunflower seeds, which add a delicious texture. Mouth-wateringly good, this pesto goes perfectly with pasta dishes, bruschetta, grilled vegetables, or even alone for some simply divine dipping!
More Than Just Food
Our mission is to make delicious houmous using fresh, wholesome ingredients, prepared just before we blend, to make sure we retain all of their lovely flavours and nutrients. We strive to always minimise food waste, and to source our ingredients within Ireland whenever possible! All of our packaging is 100% recyclable and we are always looking for ways to improve our sustainability. And, to make sure no one is left out, all of our dips are vegetarian and gluten free.
